Switching from another CRM
What you can bring into Interdatum CRM from another system today, including importing campaign leads from an Excel or CSV file.
If you are moving to Interdatum from another CRM or from spreadsheets, you can import leads into a campaign from an Excel or CSV file. Other records, such as clients, jobs and invoices, don't have a self-serve import, so contact support for help with those.
What can I bring into Interdatum from another CRM?
Here is what you can bring in yourself today:
- Leads for outreach – import a list of leads into a campaign from an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file.
- Your team – invite each team member from the Team page so they can set their own password.
- Your services and pricing – when you sign up, pick your trade to get starter services with intake forms and pricing you can edit, or build your own services.
Interdatum does not have a self-serve import for clients, jobs, bookings, estimates or invoices. If you need to move that data over from another system, contact Interdatum support by creating a support ticket (choose Talk to a human in the Ask Interdatum chat on interdatum.tech).
How do I import leads from an Excel or CSV file?
To import leads into a campaign:
- Open Campaigns and select the campaign you want to add leads to.
- Click Import in the Lead List, or Import Leads.
- Under Excel or CSV File, choose a .xlsx or .csv file. The first row of the file must be your column headings.
- Match your columns to the lead fields: First Name, Last Name, Company, Email, Phone Number, Status, Notes and Source. Interdatum suggests a match based on your column headings. Choose Do not import for any field you want to skip.
- Check the Preview of the first rows.
- Click Import Leads.
When the import finishes, you see how many leads were imported, and a Skipped Rows list shows each row that was left out and why.
Admins can import into any campaign. Workers can import only into campaigns assigned to them, and only if Campaigns access is turned on for them.
What rules does the lead import follow?
The campaign lead import follows these rules:
- Excel files – only the first worksheet is read.
- Row limit – up to 1,000 rows are imported at a time. Larger files are cut off at 1,000 rows and you see "Import capped at 1,000 rows." Split bigger lists into several files.
- Name or company required – each row needs a first name, last name or company. You must map at least a name or company column before importing.
- Phone numbers – phone numbers must be valid North American numbers. Rows with an invalid phone number are skipped.
- No duplicate phone numbers – if the same phone number appears more than once in your file, only the first row is imported. If a phone number already belongs to a lead in any campaign in your CRM, that row is skipped with a message such as "Phone number ending in 1234 already exists."
- Status – if a row's status doesn't match one of your lead statuses, the lead is imported with the status "new".
Imported leads belong only to the CRM you are working in.
