Sign in and reset your password

The ways to sign in to Interdatum CRM, how to reset a forgotten password, how to change your password, and basic account security.

Interdatum uses one login per person. The same email and password sign you in to every CRM you belong to, and you can also sign in with Google.

How do I sign in to Interdatum CRM?

To sign in, go to the Sign in to Interdatum page. Clicking "Sign in" on the Interdatum website takes you there. You have two options:

  • Email and password – enter your Email and Password, then click Sign in.
  • Google – click Sign in with Google and choose your Google account.

After you sign in, Interdatum opens your CRM. If you belong to more than one CRM, you see the Choose a CRM page and pick the one to open.

If your email and password don't match, you see "Invalid email or password." Check for typos, or use Reset password to choose a new password.

If you haven't confirmed your email yet, signing in takes you to a Check your email page and sends you a fresh confirmation email. Confirm your email, then sign in again.

If you don't have an account yet, click Create a free CRM at the bottom of the sign-in page.

Can I sign in with Google?

Yes. Click Sign in with Google on the sign-in page. Google sign-in works with the Google account that uses the same email address as your Interdatum account. Your Google account's email must be verified by Google.

Signing in with Google also counts as confirming your email address. If an unconfirmed Interdatum account already existed for that email with a password, that password is removed when you sign in with Google, so only the real owner of the email keeps access.

If you signed up with Google and later want to sign in with an email and password too, use Reset password on the sign-in page to set a password.

If Google sign-in fails, you see "Unable to continue with Google sign-in."

How do I reset a forgotten password?

To reset your password:

  1. On the sign-in page, next to "Can't access your account?", click Reset password.
  2. Enter your Email and click Email reset link.
  3. You see "If an account exists, we've emailed a reset link." For your privacy, this message is the same whether or not an account exists for that email.
  4. Open the email titled "Reset your Interdatum password" and click Choose password.
  5. On the Choose a new password page, enter your New password and Confirm password, then click Reset password.

Your new password must be at least 8 characters. After the reset, you return to the sign-in page with the message "Your password has been reset. Sign in with your new password."

Your Interdatum password signs you in to every CRM you belong to, so resetting it changes it everywhere. Completing a reset also confirms your email address.

If you remembered your password, click Back to sign in.

A password reset link expires 60 minutes after it is sent, and it can only be used once. When you use a reset link, any other reset links for your account stop working.

You can request up to 3 reset links per hour. If you request more than that, no new email is sent until earlier links expire, even though the page still shows the same confirmation message.

If a reset link is expired or already used, you see "This reset link is invalid or has expired. Request a new one from the sign-in page." Go back to the sign-in page and click Reset password again.

If you didn't request a password reset, you can ignore the email. Your current password stays the same.

How do I change my password while signed in?

To change your password while signed in:

  1. Open Settings and click the Account tab.
  2. In the Change Password card, enter your Current Password.
  3. Enter your New Password and Confirm New Password.
  4. Click Update Password.

Your new password must be at least 8 characters and must be different from your current password. When the change works, you see "Password updated for all your CRMs." because your Interdatum password is shared across every CRM you belong to.

If your account doesn't have a password yet, for example because you only ever signed in with Google, use Reset password on the sign-in page to set one instead.

Settings appears in the sidebar for admins. If you don't see Settings in your sidebar, sign out and use Reset password on the sign-in page to choose a new password.

How does Interdatum keep my account secure?

Interdatum protects your sign-in in these ways:

  • Hashed passwords. Passwords are stored as a secure hash, not as readable text. Password reset links are also stored only in hashed form.
  • Minimum password length. Passwords must be at least 8 characters.
  • Email confirmation. You must confirm your email before you can open a CRM.
  • Invite-only team access. You get into a CRM only by creating it or by accepting an invite sent to your email. Having a matching email address alone never grants access.
  • Access re-checked. Your role, permissions and CRM access are re-checked against the database while you use the app, so when an admin removes you from a CRM, your access to that CRM ends.
  • Your own password only. Admins can't see or set a teammate's password. Each person sets their own password through an invite or a reset link.

Interdatum does not currently offer two-factor authentication.

How do clients sign in to the client portal?

Your clients don't use an Interdatum password. When a client signs in to your client portal, they enter their email and receive a one-time code by email, then enter that code to sign in.

A client portal code can only be used once, and after 5 wrong attempts the code stops working. A client portal sign-in never replaces a staff sign-in in the same browser. If you are signed in as staff and try to sign in to the client portal in the same browser, the portal sign-in is refused and your staff session is kept.
