AI usage limits by plan
What each monthly AI limit on Starter and Pro covers, what counts toward it, where to see your usage, which warnings you get, and what happens when a limit is reached.
Updated
Interdatum's AI features are included with the Starter and Pro plans, each with monthly limits. Pro's limits are higher. The Free plan doesn't include AI features. Everything else in the CRM keeps working when an AI limit is reached.
What are the monthly AI limits?
| Monthly limit | Starter (CA$49) | Pro (CA$129) |
|---|---|---|
| Assistant replies (chat and voice) | 300 | 2,000 |
| Voice listening minutes (Assistant mode) | 60 | 300 |
| Spoken voice replies | 15,000 characters | 60,000 characters |
| Background tasks budget | US$1 of AI usage | US$5 of AI usage |
| AI receptionist replies | 200 | 1,500 |
The limits reset on the 1st of each month at midnight UTC, not on your billing date. A 14-day free trial gets the same limits as the plan you're trying, and a plan provided by Interdatum gets that plan's limits. Interdatum may adjust these limits.
What counts toward each limit?
- Assistant replies: each reply the AI assistant writes, whether you typed or spoke. Brief me, AI estimate drafts for new requests, and each run of a routine also count as one reply. Saying yes or no to a card doesn't count.
- Voice listening minutes: time spent in Assistant mode.
- Spoken voice replies: the length of the replies the assistant speaks out loud, in characters.
- Background tasks budget: the AI cost of background tasks, including schedule drafts, pricing research, lead searches and AI check-ins, plus the personal lines written for each person in outreach emails. Each task also has its own cap so one task can't use the whole budget.
- AI receptionist replies: each automatic reply the AI text receptionist sends. It also has a daily cap (100 by default).
Where can I see my AI usage?
- Settings → Billing, in the AI usage this month card: one meter per limit showing how much you've used, the limit, and the reset date. A bar turns amber at 80% and red when it's used up.
- In the assistant's Tasks view, owners and admins see "AI tasks this month" for the background tasks budget.
Will I get a warning before I run out?
Yes, for most limits. When assistant replies, voice minutes, spoken voice replies or AI receptionist replies reach 80%, the workspace owner gets a one-time email for that month and the assistant shows a short note in the chat. There's no email for the background tasks budget; check the Tasks view or Settings → Billing instead.
What happens when I reach a limit?
That AI feature pauses until the 1st of the next month, with a message such as "You've used this month's assistant replies — resets Nov 1. Upgrade to Pro for more." The rest of the CRM keeps working, including the Needs attention list.
- Assistant replies: the assistant stops answering until the 1st.
- Spoken voice replies: the assistant keeps answering in text.
- Voice minutes: the voice session ends, and you can keep typing to the assistant.
- Background tasks budget: new tasks can't start until the 1st.
- AI receptionist replies: the receptionist stops auto-replying, incoming texts still land in your inbox as normal, and the owner gets one email. Emergency safety replies (for example, for a gas leak) still go out.
How do I get more?
Switch to Pro in Settings → Billing for higher limits. See Changing or canceling your plan. If your payment is past due and the 7-day grace period has ended, AI features pause until your payment is updated.
