Industries and starter services

Interdatum works for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, landscaping and snow removal, pressure washing, auto detailing, handyman, and other service businesses, and can pre-build starter services for your trade when you sign up.

Interdatum CRM is built for service businesses that quote, schedule, and complete work for clients. When you sign up you pick your industry, and for most trades Interdatum creates a set of starter services you can edit.

Which industries does Interdatum support?

Interdatum CRM is a general field-service CRM, so any service business that takes requests, quotes work, schedules crews, and invoices clients can use it. When you create a CRM, the industry list includes:

  • HVAC / Heating & Cooling
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Cleaning
  • Landscaping & Snow Removal
  • Pressure Washing
  • Auto Detailing
  • Handyman & General Repair
  • Other

If your trade isn't listed (for example marine services or asbestos abatement), choose Other and build your own services, intake forms, and pricing rules. Nothing in the CRM is locked to a particular industry.

Does Interdatum work for HVAC companies?

Yes. HVAC / Heating & Cooling is one of the industries you can pick when you create your Interdatum CRM. For HVAC, Interdatum creates four starter services, each with an intake form, pricing rules, and line items you can change:

  • Heating Repair — asks about the system type (gas furnace, electric furnace, heat pump, boiler, or not sure) and urgency; includes a diagnostic / service call line and an hourly labour line, plus an after-hours / emergency surcharge rule.
  • Furnace Tune-Up — priced per furnace.
  • AC Tune-Up — priced per AC unit.
  • New System Quote — collects the equipment the client wants installed and prices the visit as a free in-home quote.

HVAC businesses in Canada can also add a local Canadian business number on the Starter or Pro plan for calls and texts, and Pro adds the AI text receptionist, which recognizes emergencies such as gas or carbon monoxide and sends safety guidance.

What starter services are created for each industry?

Interdatum creates starter services when a new CRM is created with an industry other than Other, and only if the CRM doesn't already have services. Each starter service includes a multi-step intake form, pricing rules, and line items. The starter services are:

  • HVAC: Heating Repair, Furnace Tune-Up, AC Tune-Up, New System Quote.
  • Plumbing: Plumbing Repair, Drain Cleaning, Water Heater Service.
  • Electrical: Electrical Troubleshooting, Fixture & Outlet Installation, Panel Upgrade or EV Charger Quote.
  • Cleaning: Standard Home Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Move In / Move Out Cleaning.
  • Landscaping & Snow Removal: Lawn Mowing, Spring / Fall Cleanup, Snow Removal.
  • Pressure Washing: Driveway & Patio Washing, House Washing, Deck & Fence Washing.
  • Auto Detailing: Interior Detail, Exterior Wash & Wax, Full Detail.
  • Handyman & General Repair: Handyman Service, Furniture & TV Mounting, Repair Quote.

Can I change the starter prices and forms?

Yes. The starter services are ordinary Interdatum services, so the example prices, form questions, pricing rules, and line items are only a starting point. Open Services in the CRM to edit a starter service's Form Builder, Pricing Rules, and Line Items, delete services you don't offer, or add new ones. Several repair-type starter services (such as Heating Repair, Plumbing Repair, and Electrical Troubleshooting) include an "After-hours / emergency" urgency option with a surcharge rule, which you can adjust or remove like any other pricing rule.
